WILLIAM FREED (1902-1984) WPA New York City watercolor

$495.00
Best known for his colorful abstract paintings, William Freed (American, 1902-1984) was a WPA artist early in his career. Offered here is what is likely an early work from his time as a WPA artist. Signed in the lower right “W. Freed”, there is also what appears to be an inventory number on the back. Painted on RWS watercolor paper. There is light general wear around the edges, a small closed ¾ inch tear on the bottom of the paper, and the bottom right corner is creased. With that said, most if not all of this would be matted out once the piece is framed. 15.5 x 11.5 inches. Unframed.
