Offered here is a spectacular etching from artist James E. Allen titled “Teeming Ingots”. This print was selected by the American Society of Etchers in 1935 as the presentation print for its members, and is one of one-hundred printed. It is signed in pencil by the artist in the lower right, and is framed in a Heydenryk frame (label on the back). There is a little wear to the frame on the left hand side that can be seen in the pictures. The print has the original Society of Etchers document attached to the back of the frame. The etching has not been examined outside of the frame, but appears to be in excellent condition. The image measures 9.75 x 12 inches, and framed measures 19 x 21.5 inches. This is considered one of his best and can be found in a number of museum collections, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Smithsonian.
