Offered here is a charming watercolor of a man plowing a field with two horses. The painting is signed by Edith Nagler (in two places), and additionally there is some writing in the lower left corner that could be “All Good Workers (?)”, possibly the title of the painting. The painting measures 8 x 10.75 inches, and framed measures 13.25 x 16 inches. Very well framed, it’s ready to hang!


Biography:
Edith Nagler (1895-1986) studied with Robert Henri, and owned a summer home in Huntington Massachusetts on a lane now known as Nagler Crossroad. Her work is in museums in Hartford, Connecticut and Springfield, Massachusetts where she lived in the first part of her career, as well as in Houston museums where she later settled with her artist husband Fred Nagler.
